Lauri Carlson realizes that this is the open window. 55, stable and enjoyable job, great family and husband, 2 dogs, 4 grown kids. The youngest turns 21, and she decides to leave it all and move to India. She lands a job in Chennai with an American International School and without a second glance leaves everything behind to move to India.

mom!! i LOVE all your beautiful photos!!! did you know you can put more than one picture up in a post? it's very simple. you just add another photo and it goes right overhead the other one. you can type below or on the side. you've taken a whole new approach to "labels," too, i see, which is fantastic. (usually labels are like categories ... people label certain posts to go back and search for them that way, like a file cabinet's name). but i like your new way.
i have to say, the pictures are exactly as i've been imagining in it my mind, except perhaps more lovely and verdant. you are so good at setting and describing a scene, it's almost as though i've seen this before ... and i have, through your words.
but please keep taking pictures! i'll try and give you a blog lesson over skype sometime.
wow, you really are in a kind of paradise. at least for the cows, if not for the girls who do all the housework.
